Diabetes and Nutrition Services
The Ripon Medical Center's Diabetes and Nutrition Services staff will assist you and your family in gaining control over diabetes through our programs and services. The American Diabetes Associataion recognizes our education services as meeting the national standards for diabetes self-management education.
Diabetes education services include:
- Individual diabetes-focused appointments with a certified diabetes educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), and/or Registered Nurse (RN)
- Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
- As the sole therapy, or in conjunction with other therapies, MNT can help prevent and/or delay the onset or progression of costly diabetes-related complications. Many insurance providers will cover MNT by a registered dietitian when referred by a physician. Medicare currently covers MNT for diabetes and non-dialysis kidney disease. Call 920-748-0475 to schedule an appointment with our dietitian.
